The photographic and sculptural installation 'Daedala' was presented at Yiali Tzamisi, in the Venetian Harbour of Chania, Crete, between November 4-18, 2021. It was supported by Anoixta Pania, Keppedix-KAM and the Municipality of Chania.

Chora Atelier curated the structure’s design that hosted the ceramic sculptures and the lightboxes, the installation in the space, the design of the poster, the logo, the T-Shirts for the workshops and the flyer of the exhibition.

The works were integrated in the space with respect to the sacredness and the morphology of the mosque. The production of the works was determined from the beginning aiming at the better adaptation and interaction with the space itself, as well as at the creation of a labyrinthine path. Hidden connections and correlations between the sculptures and the photographs themselves, as well as with mihrab’s decorative elements, invited the visitor to wander, to discover the findings and to experience the narrative that each work brought.

Η εικαστική εγκατάσταση φωτογραφίας και γλυπτικής ‘Δαίδαλα’ παρουσιάστηκε στο Γυαλί Τζαμισί, στο Ενετικό Λιμάνι των Χανίων, το διάστημα 4-18 Νοεμβρίου 2021, στο πλαίσιο της δράσης ‘Ανοιχτά Πανιά’, με την υποστήριξη της ΚΕΠΠΕΔΗΧ ΚΑΜ και του Δήμου Χανίων.

Η Chora Atelier, επιμελήθηκε το σχεδιασμό των κατασκευών που φιλοξένησαν τα γλυπτά και τα αυτοφωτιζόμενα κουτιά (lightboxes) με τις φωτογραφίες, την εγκατάσταση στο χώρο, το σχεδιασμό της αφίσας, του λογοτύπου ‘Δαίδαλα’, των T-Shirts για τα εργαστήρια και του τετρασέλιδο εντύπου της έκθεσης.

Η ένταξη των έργων στο χώρο έγινε με σεβασμό προς την ιερότητα και τη μορφολογία του τζαμιού. Η παραγωγή των έργων καθορίστηκε εξ’ αρχής με στόχο την καλύτερη προσαρμογή και αλληλεπίδραση με τον ίδιο το χώρο, καθώς και για τη δημιουργία μιας δαιδαλώδους διαδρομής. Κρυφές συνδέσεις και συσχετίσεις, ανάμεσα στα ίδια τα γλυπτά και τις φωτογραφίες, καθώς και με τα διακοσμητικά στοιχεία του μιχράμπ προσκαλούσαν τον επισκέπτη να περιπλανηθεί, να ανακαλύψει τα ευρήματα και να βιώσει την εμπειρία που φέρει κάθε έργο.
